Vacations Real Estate Costa Rica (“we”, “us”) is an independent real estate brokerage led by Leonardo Araya Pacheco, based in Liberia, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when you visit vacationsrealestatecostarica.com or contact us. We process personal data in accordance with Costa Rica’s Law No. 8968 on the Protection of the Person Regarding the Processing of Personal Data and its regulations.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and any details you share about the property you are looking for, selling or asking about, when you use our contact forms, email us, call us or message us on WhatsApp or social media.
- Information collected automatically: basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and the date and time of your visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).
2. How we use your information
- To answer your inquiries and send you property information you requested.
- To arrange property viewings and coordinate with sellers, developers, cooperating brokers, attorneys and other professionals involved in a transaction you are interested in.
- To send you new listings or market updates, only if you asked for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To operate, secure and improve this website.
- To comply with legal obligations, including anti-money-laundering requirements that apply to real estate transactions in Costa Rica.
3. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only when needed to serve you: with property owners, developers or cooperating brokers regarding a property you asked about; with service providers that host this website or send email on our behalf; with attorneys, notaries or escrow agents when you move forward with a transaction; or when required by law or a competent authority.
4. Data retention
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, or object to its use for marketing, by writing to leo.araya@vacationsrealestatecostarica.com. You may also contact Costa Rica’s data protection agency (PRODHAB).
